Raise Money. Build Community.
Kill Mosquitoes.

Grant Park Bites Back is a community fundraiser and education campaign focused on mosquito-dunk bucket kits to neighbors who care about protecting babies, bees, birds, butterflies, and abuelas from chemical mosquito sprays, replacing toxic pyrethroid sprays with organic, EPA-approved Bti larvicide.

The problem with conventional mosquito control

Babies & Seniors

In-utero pesticide exposure is linked to reduced birth weight and disrupted fetal immune function; residues travel straight to the brain through nasal passages.

Bees

A 2024 Xerces Society study found 100% of sprayed yards — and 75% of neighboring unsprayed yards — carried bee-lethal pyrethroid levels from drift.

Birds

Spraying wipes out the insects that feed 96% of backyard bird species' chicks; nearly 30% of North America's birds have vanished in 50 years.

Conventional spraying does not just kill mosquitoes — it kills the neighborhood ecosystem.
