GPNA Scholarship for High School Seniors

Status: Archived
The Grant Park Neighborhood Association has authorized a scholarship to recognize and reward members of our neighborhood who are high school seniors and have demonstrated commendable academic success, leadership, and volunteer and extracurricular activities.

  • Must be a resident of the Grant Park Neighborhood as depicted on the included map.  On this enhanced reproduction of a map created by the City of Atlanta's Traffic and Transportation Dept., the neighborhood boundary lines run down the center of boundary streets. Therefore, applicants must live in the light shaded area. GPNA understands that many organizations, such as NPU, Council Districts, legislative districts, etc., have their own unique boundaries that do not necessarily follow a particular neighborhood boundary; however, for the purpose of this scholarship, we will follow the commonly accepted City of Atlanta Traffic and Transportation boundaries of Grant Park.
  • Be a graduate from high school during the 2015-2016 academic year.
  • Must have AT LEAST a 3.0 grade point average.
  • Must have applied to a continuing education institution such as college, university, technical school, etc.
  • Must have demonstrated scholastic achievement, community involvement and outstanding performance.
  • Must submit to having a digital picture taken at the interview day to be used for the announcement and publication of the winner on the GPNA website and the Porch Press.

    • A complete application form (found on GPNA website)

    • High school transcript
    • SAT/ACT test scores and dates
  • Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all information. Since applications are evaluated on the information provided, all questions should be answered as completely as possible.
