Update from the Security Patrol - 4/22/02
Author: Chris Newman, Grant Park Security Patrol

[This update was provided to www.gpna.org by the Grant Park Security Patrol (GPSP). Founded in 1990 by Grant Park residents, the GPSP is a nonprofit corporation that hires off-duty City of Atlanta police officers to patrol the streets of our neighborhood in their own unmarked cars. GPSP works with and in addition to normal police coverage. For more information on the Security Patrol or to become a member, see their web page or contact Chris Newman at cjn354@mindspring.com.]

There was a vehicle larceny today at 9:30 AM at the CVS on Boulevard. Be very careful at this location.

Last week there was a residential burglary in the 700 block of Ormewood Ave. The residents think that it occurred in mid-morning.

GPNA has written a letter concerning transfer (request denial for renewal or transfer) of the liquor license for the AMOCO at Memorial and Hill Street. We will present this to NPU at the monthly meeting April 23. We will also present the letter to the License Review Board. The location continues to be a problem with panhandlers and other quality-of-life crimes.
